4b. SMS Text Message Communications

If you opt in to SMS text message updates during the booking process, you consent to receive text messages from Cleanology Cleaning Company at the phone number you provide. These messages may include booking confirmations, 24-hour appointment reminders, and service update notifications.

Message frequency: Typically 1–3 messages per booking. Message and data rates may apply.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message, or by toggling off "Text Message Updates" in your My Bookings account page. For help, reply HELP or contact us at [email protected]. Our SMS communications are sent through Twilio, Inc. (SOC 2 Type II certified).

5. Data Retention

  • Account data is retained for the duration of your account and for 3 years after account closure.
  • Booking records are retained for 7 years for accounting and tax compliance purposes.
  • Payment records (Stripe IDs only) are retained for 7 years per financial record-keeping requirements.
  • SMS opt-in records are retained for 4 years per TCPA compliance requirements.
  • Analytics and usage data is retained for 24 months in aggregated form.

You may request deletion of your personal data at any time (see Section 8).

6. Data Security

We implement multiple layers of security to protect your personal information:

  • All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encrypted connections.
  • Session authentication uses JWT-signed, HttpOnly cookies that cannot be accessed by client-side scripts.
  • Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1 certified) and never stored on our servers.
  • Our database is hosted on TiDB Cloud (SOC 2 Type II certified).
  • Access to customer data is restricted to authorized personnel via role-based access controls.
  • We maintain an internal audit log of all administrative actions involving customer data.
  • Booking and contact form endpoints are protected by rate limiting to prevent automated abuse.
